I have had many opportunities to drive the '09 Maxima since I wrote this post. I am still standing by my opinion. I have, however, noticed that while truning rather sharply and punching the gas there tends to be a slight amount of torque steer felt. Also, on the streight, when accelerating from a stop at full throttle the front end does get light as weight transfers to the back tires. This does give a light steering feel. I still say over all, there is virtually no torque steer. Have you ever driven a 3.5 Altima? That is torque steer.
